Scholarships are designated to enhance the diversity of the SIT community by making it possible for students from the Middle East and predominantly Islamic countries to undertake graduate studies at SIT.
03/29/05 Georgetown University (Washington DC) Sultanate of Oman Scholarly Paper Prize ccas.georgetown.edu Funded through the Oman Program Endowment to the Center, the $5,000 prize will be awarded annually for the best original scholarly paper in the field of modern Arab studies, broadly construed. To be eligible for consideration, papers must be of publishable quality to the standard of leading scholarly journals. Submissions from the humanities and the social sciences are welcomed. Papers will be judged for originality and innovation of research, theoretical quality, and contribution to knowledge about the Arab world. Submissions must be in english and may be in the range of 10,000 - 20,000 words. Papers must not have been previously published. 03/29/05 Georgetown University (Washington DC) QATAR POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP on US-Arab Relations or Islamic Studies
ccas.georgetown.edu The Qatar Post-Doctoral Fellowship was established by a generous grant from the State of Qatar to the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies (CCAS) at Georgetown University. The fellowship will support a recent PhD working on the topic of US-Arab Relations or Islamic Studies.
03/29/05 Northern Arizona University Tuition Scholarships www.nau.edu Scholarship opportunities are very limited for international students. For this reason, the school requires students to submit proof of financial support to cover their expenses for at least one academic year. The scholarship will finance approx 44% of tuition expenses.
