Dear Omani Students,
On behalf of Dr. Talib Al-Salmi who is currently on his annual leave/business
in Oman, I would like to welcome you back to your schools and colleges for
another wonderful semester/quarter. We wish you a safe journey back and
hope that all of you are settled in your schools. Please keep in contact
with us and inform us of any delay in your departure.
We know that some of you have taken more than three months of vacation while
others did not take a single week. No matter what the case is, we hope
you enjoyed your summer and are ready for the upcoming semester/quarter.
As you may know, some of your brothers and sisters in the U.S. and Canada have
graduated and returned to Oman. We miss them dearly and hope they will
achieve success in their futures.
Our only request is that upon arriving to the U.S. and Canada, you spare a few
minutes of your time and send us your important contact information once you
have settled. we mentioned this requirement in our Arabic circular dated April
27, 2007 (articles 5 and 6) There is a form presented below that you can
send back to the division email account (culturaldivision@omani.info) before
the end of August for those who are already here and immediately upon arrival
for those who are still to come. To access the form, please click on the
following: http://www.omani.info/forms/CONTACT_INFORMATION_FORM.htm
For those who are married, please fill out the marital allowance form which could be found on our website (http://www.omani.info/forms/SQU_family_allowance.pdf) and send this to us along with the passport copy of your spouse.
A reminder for the Ph.D. students, residents and fellowship
physicians, please send your semi-annual progress report as requested per our
circular dated April 10, 2007. If you
send your progress report up to June 2007, you don’t need to send it again.
Finally, you may use our website (www.omani.info)
as a tool to easily access information that may be relevant to you.
