Davis Peace Projects Recipients Announced

Recipients of the Davis Projects for Peace grants at International House were announced at the Candlelight Sunday Supper on April 28.

In the Davis Projects, I. House residents were among graduate students invited to design and implement grassroots projects to promote peace. Twenty proposals from members of International Houses Worldwide, coordinated by I. House, New York, will be funded at $10,000 each for implementation during the summer of 2008.

The successful applicants from I. House New York, selected from 38 applicants by special committee, are as follows:

• Salim Al-Jahwari and Liat Shetret - People Building Peace: Rallying Youth for Intergenerational Change in the Arab-Israeli Conflict (USA)
