Sultan Qaboos University, the National University of the Sultanate of Oman has the pleasure to invite applications for the following position.

FULL PROFESSOR/ ASSOCIATE and ASSISTANT PROFESSOR with PH.D in

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Specialization:

·        Development of curriculum for the whole child

·        Assessment and evaluation of the young child

·        Special need children

·        Child guidance and socialization

·        Administration and supervision

·        Development of language an literacy

·        Child health and physical development

The faculty will be expected to use the newest teaching methods and are updated with their profession.

Director of Child Care Centre:

A director is sought who will complement the existing program at the centre and facilitate the roles and responsibilities of staff. Individuals who enjoy working in a collaborative and collegial manner with both the teaching staff and university faculty and possess the following experience and characteristics will be considered for this position:

at least seven years successful experience teaching children aged three to six years;
at least five years successful experience supervising teaching staff at this level;
at least five years successful experience supervising teacher candidates during practicum experiences;
at least five years experience working with children in a bilingual multiage program;
excellent communication skills;
a thorough understanding of child development
the ability to budget and manage resources;
